I have tried a lot of fake tans – St Tropez, St Moritz, Fake Bake but I really wanted to try an organic brand because I like to know that what I’m putting onto my skin is actually good for it! I came across Lavera fake tan and thought I would try it out. I bought it from Lucy Rose which is a lovely website that sells natural & organic skincare and makeup. I received free delivery, four free samples and loyalty points which can be built up to buy more products! I also got 5% discount as I signed up to their newsletter.
The fake tan is certified as natural and organic by the FDA and is filled with ingredients that are really moisturising for your skin. It contains macadamia nut, sunflower oil, & jojoba oil and also has lavender, aloe vera & rose water. It doesn’t contain any parabens, paraffin or any other ingredients that are harmful for your skin and it is suitable for face and body.
I used a tanning mitt to apply the lotion all over my arms and chest. It smells lovely and doesn’t have the typical fake tan smell either. I applied it on Friday evening and left it on until Saturday afternoon so I was a lovely brown colour. When I washed it off on Saturday afternoon my skin was glowing and a lovely shade of brown. It wasn’t too dark but it was just enough so that I wasn’t so pale for the lovely weather that we had over the weekend! It wasn’t streaky and it still didn’t smell like fake tan either so it was perfect! I then put some more on my legs as the weather was so nice and I was a lovely shade of brown and loved it! I also put a bit more over my arms on Monday morning just so I was a little darker so you can definitely layer it on if you want a darker shade!
I would highly recommend this self-tanner as it is really good for your skin and moisturises at the same time. It is a lovely colour and is easily build-able if you would like to go a bit darker.
