Overnight our skin renews itself and sleep helps to release toxins from the under layers of our skin so this is the best time to use products that help with regenerating and ‘fixing’ problems or issues. I keep a few skincare oils and creams next to my bed so my skin stays nourished and hydrated overnight.
REN Clarifying Toning Lotion
I use this after cleansing my skin to tone and exfoliate at the same time. I have been using it for over a month now and have seen a great difference in my skin. It has helped to clear my skin of blackheads and blemishes; you can read my review here.
Neal’s Yard Remedies Beauty Sleep Concentrate
This is an overnight serum that penetrates deep into the under layers of the skin to nourish and protect your skin. It improves moisture levels by up to 98% overnight and also is full of relaxing essential oils to help you drift off to sleep. When you wake up after using this, you can tell you’ve had a great night’s sleep and after using this for a few months a couple of times a week I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin.
Badger Balm Night Time
This balm is similar to the Beauty Sleep Concentrate in the way that the scents in the product help you drift off naturally to sleep. This is great for those who often stay up for an hour or so just over-thinking. It helps to clear your thoughts and drift off to sleep so easily. Bergamot and lavender are the main essential oils in the product and it is completely natural. I got this in my July Souk Souk boxes you can read about here.
Weleda Skin Food
This is a very thick moisturiser that is packed full of natural and organic ingredients. It is especially for dry/rough skin so I normally use this if I’m having a bad skin day! When I wake up I have a glow to my skin after using this and it feels so nourished and hydrated. I actually just ran out of this on holiday & need to buy some more! You can read my review on this here.
Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Facial Oil
I tend to use this most nights and sometimes if I’m feeling restless I swap this for my Beauty Sleep Concentrate but this is my go-to product for helping to regenerate my skin and get rid of any dry areas or blemishes. Frankincense is a very calming essential oil and actually helps to lower the heart rate so it’s a great product to use at night. I often use my Frankincense Hydrating cream too!
Do you have a certain skincare regime that you use at night?
