I was on the lookout for a new cleanser that was either a balm or cream because I prefer those to facial washes. I have recently been using and loving NYR Frankincense but it’s the only one I own so thought I would try some different brands. I came across the REN Cleanser on Emily’s blog Love Beauty and then I found a code for 20% off on Look Fantastic so I quickly snapped it up! It has loads of five star reviews on their website too so I was eager to try it out!
This is a purifying, antibacterial cleanser formulated to combat and help prevent breakouts and blemishes. It combats the three causes of breakouts; excess sebum, build up of dead skin cells and blemish causing bacteria.
It contains specific ingredients to target blemishes:
Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Water, Kaolin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Oryzanol, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Leptospermum Scoparium Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil, Linalool, Limonene, Zinc Gluconate, Bisabolol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Dehydroacetic Acid, Crataegus Oxyacantha Stem Extract, Glucose, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Tocopherol.
I have really been enjoying using this cleanser for the past few weeks. It’s very creamy and goes on so smoothly. I massage it into my face using circular motions for about a minute and then use my Love the Planet Cleansing Pads to remove it using hot water. After my skin looks a lot cleaner, smoother and more radiant. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry at all which is what I was a bit skeptical about because of the clay. It has helped to clear my blackheads as well as using my REN Clarifying Toner and I have also been using my new Konjac sponge in the morning. My skin is looking better everyday and I think I am definitely find products that are working for me!
This is £18.00 which I think is a very reasonable price for such a good product. You get 150ml and the pump dispenses just enough for your whole face in one pump so it doesn’t waste anything!
Have you used any REN products? What did you think?
