Neve Cosmetics Elegantissimi Palette Review with Swatches

I was recently having a browse on CutECOsmetics website as they had an awesome sale on (haul) and came across this beautiful palette from Neve Cosmetics. Unfortunately, as it was on sale at half price it was out of stock but it was too beautiful for me to forget about so I found it on Beauty Chamber for £21.95 and snapped it up! It arrived a couple of days later and I was soon swooning over the beautiful shades and so were a lot of my Twitter followers too!

Ha! Please excuse my reflection in the lid, I was in my seaside themed towel getting ready to go out for dinner but had to quickly take a snap while I had daylight!

I had never heard of Neve Cosmetics before but their eyeshadows do not contain any harsh ingredients and are natural. They do contain talc so if you’re against using talc, these aren’t for you however I think that as I’m not breathing it in, it doesn’t affect me all that much and I think the rest of the ingredients are clean from what I can tell so it’s a win for me! Neve Cosmetics do not use silicones, glycerin, parabens or petrolatum, they are non-comedogenic and are cruelty free.

I’ve swatched all of the shades for you so you can see how pigmented and beautiful the colours are.

Coco, Etoile, Butterfly, Bonbon, Noisette

Coco – pure white matt
Etoile – butter-colored satin clear
Butterfly – cream-colored matt
Bonbon – apricot opaque light
Noisette – light brown satin

Smoking, Peluche, Croissant, Espresso, Black Sheep

Smoking – dove grey velvet cold
Plush (Peluche) – grey beige light taupe
Croissants – warm brown pearh
Espresso – brown / black finish
Black Sheep – absolute black finish

My most used shades are Butterfly for all over colour and then Peluche, Croissant & Espresso with Black Sheep as liner! I have to say the black isn’t as smooth as the other colours and it did take me a couple of swipes to get the shade to stay even but as a liner its not too bad.

I have really really oily eyelids and no eyeshadows ever really stay on me with creasing, even with primer. However these are the best eyeshadows I’ve used that actually stay on for a while for me. However if you don’t have oily eyelids I think these would work great!

I also bought a refill size bronzer from CutECOsmetics as they were half price at £1.98 and I’ve wanted a natural powder bronzer for a while now. I bought the shade “California” and its the perfect colour for me. I use it to highlight and tan up my face a bit and I love it!

Have you tried anything from Neve Cosmetics before? What did you think?

  2. AHH I forgot to mention that in the post! I have really really oily eyelids and no eyeshadows stay on me but these are way better than the Naked palette eyeshadows and others that I've tried 🙂 xx

  6. Beautiful aren't they! The only one that is a bit chalky is the black one which needed a bit of extra legwork to get a solid swatch but all the others are beautiful!
