#PaiChallenge Rose & Camellia Gentle Cleanser

A few weeks ago, Pai Skincare tweeted that they were looking for bloggers to take part in their Cleanser Challenge. Pai have been on my wishlist for a good few months now and I’ve read some rave reviews of their products so I quickly tweeted saying I’d love to take part! A couple of days later, I received a parcel with their Rose & Camellia Gentle Cleanser in and I was so excited to try it out!

The #PaiChallenge consisted of using the cleanser, every night for one week without using any other cleansers in that time-frame. I have skin that is prone to breakouts and blackheads but I also get redness on my cheeks and chin. My first thoughts of this cleanser was that it was very soothing on the skin. It smells so lovely and is a pleasure to use. It certainly lives up to its name as a “gentle” cleanser. I just use one or two pumps on dry skin, massage it onto my face and then remove using the hot muslin cloth. Instantly after my skin feels smooth, looks clean and refreshed and it doesn’t feel tight at all. After one week of using this I noticed my cheeks didn’t have as much redness and my skin looked much calmer.

I did use my clay cleanser from REN one evening as I had a terrible outbreak of blackheads on my chin right in the middle of using this (due to stress I think, not from using this cleanser) so I used it to help out with that because it was really getting my down and making me annoyed.  This cleanser was lovely to use however it wouldn’t call it my ‘holy grail’ just yet because I didn’t see any effect on my blackheads. Obviously only a week cannot have that much effect so I’ll see how it works in the long-run and do a full review once I finish the product but as my first Pai product, I am very impressed!

Have you tried this cleanser? What did you think?

You can get this cleanser from Lucy Rose here*.

P.S I was experimenting with different places to take photos and have this rustic “Organic” box – does it look good or bad?

Really like the photo Amber, looks really good. I'm a sucker for hot cloth cleansers so this certainly piques my interest 😉 x

Love the box as the background! The flower is a lovely creative touch too 🙂 I have this cleanser and really like it, it's so light and hydrating but I don't think it competes with cleansing balms, not on my skin anyway! I really want to try their Bioregenerate Rosehip Oil, I've heard so many good things about it x

  4. Thanks Chesca! I actually got the flowers on eBay and they weren't as big as I had hoped so I ended up taking them off of the stems and thought they'd look pretty & go with the rose theme of the cleanser. I agree that's why I said its not my holy grail as it hasn't competed with some of my gel cleansers but it's still lovely to use every now and then! x

  7. This looks lovely, I think I'm smitten with my Liz Earle cleanse and polish, the reviews on this seem to be pretty mixed, lots of people have said it caused their skin to get congested and didn't remove make up well, I might give this a pass although I do have the Pai Rosehip oil on my wish list 🙂 x

  9. Ooh I will definitely persevere! I do love how calming it is on the skin but I do have breakouts of blackheads quite often if I don't get a good enough cleanse. Aw thank you I think I'll use it in more of my photos 🙂 x

  10. Thanks Audrey! Glad you like the background 🙂 It is nice but I just wouldn't call it amazing just yet x
