As September is Organic September I thought this month from My Pure I would review some products from a brand that is certified by the Soil Association: Skin Blossom!
Skin Blossom have a range of products at a very reasonable price that are certified by the SA meaning that they contain a minimum of 70% organic ingredients and the rest is from a natural source. They have recently had a make-over and I love their new green bottles, I think they’re much classier than their previous white ones. Their prices are so reasonable..they actually rival drug store prices yet they’re filled with natural and organic nourishing and hydrating ingredients!
Skin Blossom Gentle Cleansing Milk* is a 91% organic facial cleansing lotion that removes make-up and cleans skin to leave it soft and comforted. Sweet Almond Oil cares for the skin whilst the Aloe Vera hydrates. It is fragranced with essential oils such as lavender, rose geranium and ylang ylang giving it a delicate floral scent. It’s not my favourite scent, it isn’t that strong but not anything to rave about.
It is packed inside their newly packaged bottle with an airless pump making it efficient and very hygienic. At £6.95 for a 150ml bottle, this product will not break the bank and is a great place to start if you’re looking to get into organic or natural beauty and is much better for your skin, especially if it is sensitive! I wouldn’t say this is my favourite cleanser, it is similar to the Pai Rose & Camellia one that I am growing to love but it’s not quite as thick. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight at all, and removes eye make-up as well as my liquid foundation. This is one of those cleansers I would go to for my “first cleanse” to remove make-up as it doesn’t sting my eyes and does a good job. It isn’t one that I would personally re-purchase as it isn’t a “wow” product for me but it’s good enough if you’re just starting out with natural or organic beauty & don’t want to spend a fortune!
Skin Blossom Moisturising Body Lotion* is an 83% organic lotion filled with almond and avocado oil to moisturise, argan to repair and cocoa butter to soften skin. It is lightly scented with orange which isn’t overpowering at all and is very relaxing. It rubs into the skin easily, without feeling greasy at all in the slightest and leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturised. This is one I would reach for in Summer or Winter as the scent is lovely and it isn’t very thick but it still does a good job of keeping my skin moisturised. It costs £7.95 for a 300ml bottle which I think is an excellent price, yet again!
Skin Blossom are a great place to start if you’re just getting into organic and natural skincare! Check out all of their products on My Pure.
