Botanicals Calming Tea Tree & Lavender Body Lotion | Beauty Review

Something that I’ve always struggled with after shaving or waxing is ingrown hairs. I have thick, really dark hair so it’s pretty much inevitable that I get them. So when an e-mail popped up in my inbox about a product that claims to help with ingrowing hairs, I jumped at the chance to try it.

The Botanicals Calming Body Lotion* is full of tea tree and lavender to help soothe and calm the skin after hair removal. Essential extracts of calming marigold and aloe-vera are blended together to support the skin’s natural elasticity by replenishing moisture. It is also 100% natural and 90% organic.

I put this lotion to the ultimate test. I shaved my legs and used this everyday, twice a day, for one week to see how well it worked. The result? It worked great! I still did have a few ingrown hairs however it was much less than I would normally get. Also, my legs get really really itchy during the few days after when the hairs grow back so I applied this when my legs felt like they needed a good scratch and it soothed my skin in minutes. It’s a really nice lotion, not too thick but still moisturising enough and it sinks in so quickly. The scent isn’t too overpowering and is actually really relaxing.

As you can see from the bottle, I had used just above the label for the whole week, twice a day, sometimes more than twice so if you were using this constantly it’d get used up quite quickly but I think once a day would even help with the ingrown baddies!

I am so impressed with this product, if you get ingrown hairs, you need to try this!

You can get it from Botanicals for Β£14.75 for a 100ml bottle.
