Bodhi & Birch Rosa Rosa Clarifying Cleanser & Hydrating Toner | Beauty Review

When I attended the launch of the Bodhi & Birch Rosa Rosa Collection, I left with a generous goody bag from Elijah which had inside a Rosa Rosa Daily Moisuriser & a Ylang Ylang Bath & Shower Therapy. As the range is targeted to normal/dry skin, in my case, I would substitute the moisturiser for my beloved Neroli Luce oil so I passed it onto my sister, Ella, as she’s been struggling with dry skin.

Elijah very kindly got in touch with me a few weeks after as he had noticed that I received the moisturiser and it wasn’t really for my skin type and offered to send me the Clarifying Cleanser. When I got a parcel a couple of days later, Elijah had sent me the Hydrating Toner as well! Elijah you sweetheart!

Bodhi & Birch Rosa Rosa Skincare

The Clarifying Cleanser* is a gently foaming cream cleanser that is infused with Rosehip Oil and enriched with essential oils of Damask Rose, Orange Blossom and Camomile to help balance, tone and soothe skin. You only need one to two pumps of this silky cleanser for your whole face. Simply massage into your skin and it gets rid of face make-up as well as offering a thorough but gentle cleanse. Add a little water to gently foam up the product & rinse away to reveal soothed, cleansed skin. I’m not usually a fan of foaming cleansers but this is so luxurious and the scent is really relaxing and delicate and it doesn’t foam too much either, meaning my skin isn’t left feeling tight or dry. I love using this in the mornings and at night but mostly in the mornings as I wouldn’t use it to take off eye make-up because of the foaming action. I don’t actually get on that well with coconut oil on my face but this hasn’t broken me out at all, and actually includes ingredients I love for my oily skin type such as Palmarosa & Petitgrain.

The Hydrating Toner* is a pure blend of delicate floral waters including Damask Rose, Orange Blossom and Camomile. It aims to boost hydration and calm the skin, leaving skin refreshed and ready for your moisturiser (or in my case, Neroli Luce). This toner has been working extremely well with my skin because not only does it have the calming, hydrating floral waters but it also has Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera which work in harmony with the others to keep my skin in tip-top condition. I got this toner when I was going through a really really bad breakout on my chin (so bad, it lasted three weeks!) and after using this for just a few days, the redness and inflammation had gone down so much. The spritzer really nice too – which sounds like a really strange comment – but it sprays quite a lot onto your face and it feels really refreshing. Oh and it’s 100% edible too so there’s no nasties in there…yum!

The Cleanser retails for £32.00 and the Toner is £28.00 for 100ml bottles.

  3. don't think I've every heard a single dislike about Bodhi. There's a few ingredients in this which I chose to avoid (for allergy reasons) so I'm skipping over these for the time being 🙂

  5. I received the mini set with my last order and I am also loving the cleanser! It really gently foams – really enjoying it. That's a shame that the moisturiser isn't for your skin type – I've been using it in the mornings before make up and am very happy with it so far. Perhaps a Normal to Oil skin range is in the works…?? 🙂 xx
