La Mav Skincare: Green Clay Detox Mask & Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub

I recently posted about a few natural make-up products from La Mav (read that post here) and today I’m going to talk to you about two of their skincare products; Green Clay Detox Face Mask and their Cranberry Bio Extract Scrub which are both from their Purify & Clean Range dedicated to oily/combo/normal skin types.

Green Clay Detox Face Mask is a purifying mask, made with green and white clay and a range of other extracts such as Apple, Chamomile, Bilberry, Lemon, Rosemary, Moringa & Ginseng. It is already mixed up in the tube so all you have to do is squeeze it out, pop it on your face and wait for it to dry! It isn’t as thick as I was expecting but it takes around 30-40 minutes to start drying which makes it gentle enough to use every other day. I usually keep it on for around 20 minutes so it doesn’t dry up but it makes it much easier to make any “extractions” afterwards of clogged pores and blackheads which I almost always have on my nose and chin. I don’t reach for this when I feel like my skin needs some serious de-clogging but I like using this to keep my blackheads under control and if I need to make any extractions.

If you’re quite sensitive to using clay masks with water, I would suggest giving this a go as I’ve not experienced any irritation or redness after using this mask but it still does a good job of de-clogging and my skin always looks cleaner and refreshed after using this.

Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub is a gentle exfoliator filled with natural fruit acids of Bilberry, Sugar Maple, Lemon, Orange & Sugar Cane similar to the facial mask but it contains Bamboo Powder & Cranberry seeds to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. It is basically like a cleanser with pips in it which makes it really soothing yet it offers a thorough exfoliation at the same time.

The seeds aren’t scratchy at all so its not very abrasive but it still does a great job of exfoliating skin. They’re also easy to get off your face with the flannel and I don’t have to keep picking off seeds from my face throughout the morning haha! Afterwards, my skin feels really soft and it helps to rid of any dry patches too.

The only issue I have with both of these is that if you leave them un-used for a few days, the oils seem to separate from the products so you must make sure you shake them before opening otherwise you’ll just squirt out oils rather than the products.

The Detox Mask costs $26.95 and the Cranberry Scrub is $29.95.
But you can also buy them here in the UK now through Love Lula’s Boutique

Have you tried La Mav skincare? What did you think?

The cranberry scrub was what I wanted to try! I find that a few premixed masks tend to separate but not all, so there mast be a way to have them keep their consistency? Xx

I like the sound of the detox mask. I have the same problem with quite a few products separating in the bottle too, but at least it's easy enough to shake it back up again! 🙂 x

  3. They sound lovely, especially the mask 🙂 Sometimes it's great to have a mask that you don't need to mix with water/honey :)) xx
