The lovely Sabina of Consciously Sartorial, along with Sonia, the founder and editor of online magazine sogoodsocute.com, have put together a challenge to encourage as many people as possible to create trendy street style looks from ethical and sustainable fashion brands. They want to prove that dressing ethically and sustainably doesn’t mean having to make sacrifices in terms of style and trends.
If you want to get involved, simply create a look of your own & share it on Twitter or Facebook by tomorrow (30th November) including a short description mentioning the brands featured and the hashtag #slowstreetstyle. Each look will be posted on both their blogs in December, to create a sustainable fashion look-book for this season.
Dressing the slow way means wearing clothes from brands which respect fair labour and the health & social rights of the people involved in making their clothes, buying brands that are aware of how limited the planet’s resources are and supporting brands that are close to you, as this minimises ecological footprint.
Here is my #SlowStreetStyle look which after I did it, realised it’s not that suitable for this time of year however I’d pair this with a gorgeous A-line coat & you’d be all set!
// People Tree Jamie Slim Fit Navy Trousers // People Tree Slow Fashion Tee // Medwinds Sara Ballerina Shoes // What Daisy Did Cambridge Style Satchel //
I put together this chic outfit and paired it with my gorgeous satchel from What Daisy Did, a brand from my hometown (this particular one is the one I bought a couple of weeks back – post to come soon) to add a splash of colour! The trousers & tee are both from People Tree and the shoes are from Medwinds.
I hope you liked my #SlowStreetStyle look!
