Green People have recently launched some new make-up products into their collection and I was very kindly sent all three of their Lip Crayons as well as their Lip Primer which was a nice surprise! I have recently uploaded a video to my YouTube channel featuring a lot of the Green People make-up so click here if you’d like to watch that…or carry on reading for my opinions on the make-up & swatches!
Their new Instant Definition Lip Crayons come in the form of a chunky stick pencil, available in three shades; bold and burnished Sangria, neutral and earthy Praline and delicate and floral Blossom.
When I first tried these I noticed how creamy they all are, thanks to the nourishing shea butter and baobab in the ingredients as well as moisturising beeswax and carnauba wax.
All of the shades are so easy to apply with the crayon and they don’t smudge either. They’re all pretty long-lasting too, especially Sangria and Praline.
My favourite out of the three is Sangria* which is described as a “rich burnished red with subtle copper tones” as it goes really well with my skin-tone and looks really nice this time of year. It’s really creamy, very pigmented and goes on really smoothly. This is definitely my favourite out of the three. You can watch my video (link) to see me wearing this colour!
Blossom* is a really pretty, almost dusky pink that has a hint of sparkle to it. It’s perfect to wear in the day or with a smokey eye at night. It is quite a pale shade and as my lips are naturally quite dark, I like to apply a teeny little bit of concealer or foundation over my lips so that the true colour comes through.
Praline* isn’t one that I would necessarily choose for myself but is a neutral earthy tone and reminds me of Kylie Jenner’s colour choice at the minute! Although I wouldn’t have chosen it myself, I really like it! It’s matte with no shimmer but is still really creamy.
The new Enrich & Enhance Lip Primer* is made with carnauba wax, beeswax, vitamin E and sunflower seed oil to thoroughly moisturise and prep your lips for colour. It is a clear product, in the form of a lipstick so it’s easy to apply and feels really nourishing on your lips. This is fairly expensive for what I think is essentially a lip balm however it is really moisturising and helps keep the lipsticks on for longer so if you have really dry lips, try this!
