So today I am going to Sharm el Sheikh for a getaway trip with Paul for my birthday which is tomorrow (9th February). You can wish me a Happy Birthday on Twitter… 😉
I know you lot like to be nosy so I thought I’d share what skincare & make-up I’m taking with me on holiday! I only got 15kg of luggage so I had to be very selective and try to choose multi-tasking products as I didn’t want to be the embarrassed one at the airport with the overweight bag frantically taking things out at the check-in desk. I set myself the challenge to fit everything into this Orla Kiely Wash Bag*…did I succeed?
One Love Organics Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil – Ahhhh this smells like sweet, fresh pineapples! I love it and couldn’t not bring it with me!
I love the Indie Lee Squalane Oil and use it almost every day. It’s moisturising enough for me to use day and night so that saves me some space!
I thought I’d make the most of samples that I had so I’ve packed this REN Global Protection Day Cream as well as two Lulu & Boo samples; Fruits & Vitamins Brightening Mask & Day Cream.
I haven’t tried this Thousand Petal Beautifying Mist from R L Linden & Co yet so I thought this would be a good opportunity to test it! It’s only a travel size too.
At the La Bella Figura event we were kindly given a selection of products and included was this Decouverte Eye Serum which is lovely!
Just in case I wanted a little more of a cleanse than the ED4OLO oil, I packed this teeny sample of Skin Saviour Balm which can also be used for taming frizz and as a moisturiser. I filled it up with some of mine from my big jar to save room & weight.
My skin normally behaves in the Sun a little more than usual but just in case I get a nasty spot, I’ve packed my Indie Lee Blemish Stick!
I don’t normally wear that much make-up on holiday however it is my birthday and Valentine’s Day whilst we’re out there so I wanted to make sure I had enough for night’s out!
I just recently got this new Green People DD Tinted Moisturiser and it’s so lovely. It gives such a lovely glow to my skin, stays on pretty well & doesn’t look cakey or heavy at all.
I wanted to take so many lipsticks but managed to narrow it down to two! Red Apple Lipstick Mix & Mingle is so gorgeous, I love this colour. It’s so vibrant and pink but looks gorgeous with a sparkly eyeshadow and black liner!
I thought I’d take another lipstick that isn’t as bright in case I wanted to do more with my eyeshadow and chose this gorgeous shade from Karen Murrell; Carnation Mist.
The All Natural Face Eyeshadow Primer – I use this pretty much every time I put on eyeshadow, it’s not amazing but it helps get a bolder colour and prevent creasing a little.
Vapour Concealer – I normally use my RMS one every day but as it’s going to be hot I wanted something a little lighter and this one highlights as well as concealing a little.
One Love Organics Morning Glory Serum – I got this tiny little sample pot so I thought I’d take this with me to use before make-up in the evenings as it works great as a primer.
Neve Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette – I decided to take a full palette rather than lots of different individual loose shadows as it’s just so much easier and it’s not actually that heavy. This way I can go from day to night super easily.
Green People Mascara – I won’t be wearing mascara in the day as I don’t have a waterproof one but I’ll be using this one at night. It makes my lashes look so long & gives them a lot of volume too.
Sante Eyebrow Pencil – Can’t neglect those brows! Perfect colour for me & stays on pretty good too.
Jing Ai Sierra Glow Duo – Killing two birds with one stone here! Bronzer & blusher in one!
Deep Steep Honeydew Spearmint Body Butter – This smells SO good. It’s really uplifting and refreshing and very summery so thought it would be lovely in the Sun.
Meow Meow Tweet Grapefruit Deodorant – I absolutely adore the scent of this one however I’m not finding it as effective as other ones I’ve tried…but I thought I’d take it anyway as I’ll only be lounging around on a sunlounger all day anyway!
Aloe Dent Toothpaste – How exciting…I haven’t got any travel sizes but this is half empty anyway. Best natural toothpaste I’ve tried.
I highly doubt there’ll be any natural soap in our hotel bathroom so I thought I’d make use of this cute Pure Thoughts Candy Cane Soap we got in the Green Meet-Up goody bag. It’s only small so I think between Paul & I we’ll probably use it all up on the trip so I won’t mind not bringing a small bit back.
Minvita Baobab Body Oil – I haven’t tried these yet but thought an oil would be nice to use in the evenings and thought I’d make the most of sample sachets.
One Self Organics Perfume – This is such a lovely scent, I am looking forward to taking this away with me and then afterwards, it will remind me of sunny beaches & my holiday! I reviewed this on Thursday (link).
Jason Sunscreen – I took this with me to Amsterdam last year and it worked really well. It is a kids one but I don’t want to get burnt and bought the SPF 45.
I realised after taking all these photos I completely forgot about body wash…oops! I AM A HYGIENIC PERSON! I recently got sent a set from Ruby Red which has a body wash & body lotion so I’m going to take the Lime & Mandarin Body Cleanser as it’s a cute travel size.
Hope you enjoyed reading this post! See you when I get back from holiday!
