On Sunday I went to the Natural & Organic Products Trade Show in ExCel London with Sarah (Sugarpuffish) and we also met the lovely Ailish (The Glow Getter) for the first time! Just a quick thank you to start off the post to Steve from Viridian who got Sarah & I the visitor passes!
As it is a trade show, there were a lot of brands and businesses showcasing their products and there was a LOT to see. We started off in the beauty section (obviously) and headed straight to Bathing Beauty to see George, the owner. I had never met George before so it was an absolute pleasure to finally meet her and see her brand new vegan make-up brushes that she’s just finished creating with celebrity make-up artist Caroline James. The brushes looked amazing inside their eco packaging and George has also just finished updating her packaging and it looks amazing…
We then carried on browsing the beauty section and stopped by a few stands including 100% Pure, Andalou Naturals, Pacifica and Antipodes. We also met Polly from Siam Botanicals who have just launched in the UK & EU from Thailand and have a lovely range of cleansing oils, serums and balms. Ailish introduced us to Lara from a brand called Scentered who make 100% natural therapy balms in the form of a portable stick (amazing!) which smelt heavenly…I was kindly given the “Stress Less” balm which has Chamomile, Neroli and Mandarin to de-stress you. They have recently just launched in Space NK and I will review this at a later date.
Sarah & I also stopped off at PHB Ethical Beauty, a UK family run business who have their own shop in Birmingham and a huge array of products. We tried a tasty vegan cupcake and chatted away to Rose, the owner, about all of their products which includes the largest range of vegan beauty products worldwide.
One of the brands that caught our eye was Bath Spa Skincare whose new release is a very intriguing product and not one that any of us three girls had seen before; a Powder Serum! We were all kindly given a jar to sample so I’m sure we’ll all be letting you know how we get on with it but it is basically a powder that you mix in with your moisturiser to give you a boost of antioxidants.
I also stopped by Tabitha James Kraan’s stand to finally meet her as I love her Dry Shampoo that I reviewed last year (link). I was very kindly given their new Hair Cleanser & Conditioner to try which have only recently been released, how exciting! I chose the Golden Citrus Hair Cleanser which smells so lovely, it has essential oils of tea tree, neroli, tangerine, lavender, myrrh and bergamot which all blend together to make a gorgeous citrus scent. It is a non-foaming shampoo which might take a little bit of getting used to but it means no stripping, lathering ingredients, yay! The 4 in 1 Golden Citrus Conditioner has the same scent at the cleanser and is a multi-use product. You can use it as a traditional conditioner, as a curl definer, as a scalp treatment or as a leave-in conditioner. They also have each of these in an Amber Rose scent too.
I also went to find Daniel from The Organic Protein Company to meet him in person and Steve from Viridian to visit the stand (which looked great!) and say thank you for getting us in!
I also picked up a free Natural Health magazine as I love that magazine and have been enjoying reading this month’s issue! Inside were a few samples too and I also picked up some samples from 100% Pure, Andalou Naturals, PHB Ethical Beauty & Natracare.
I had such a fun day with Sarah & Ailish, meeting brands who I would never normally get to meet in person and browsing the range of new products available.
