Some exciting things happened this week so I thought I would share with you a few things that made me happy…
Meeting Indie Lee
On Wednesday I had the amazing pleasure of meeting one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met, Indie Lee. She was in London on business and I was invited to meet her in Retreat Cafe in Kingly Court along with Liz from Green Goddess PR. As most of you will know, I won Indie’s Earth Day competition in 2014 which meant that I had the pleasure of trying $1,000 worth of her products….yeah, wow I know! Over a year has passed and I’ve tried almost all of her products and I’m in love with the brand and of course Indie herself. Especially after meeting her in person! We sipped on Banana Warrior smoothies (yum!) and ate some delish healthy protein bars and chatted for about an hour (so not long enough!!) but it was amazing to just finally meet in person and talk about all things blogging, Indie Lee and Paul even popped by to say hello and tell her how much he loves the Coconut Citrus Scrub. I also heard about some new products that are in the making so I’m looking forward to their release…but it’s a secret for now so all of you will have to wait!

Day off in London
I had Tuesday and Wednesday off work so as I was heading to London to meet Indie anyway, Paul came with me and we spent the day in London. We had a lovely relaxing day, ate a lot of food and I even saw my first bee of the year!!!! Two, actually, right by the Embankment in some foxglove flowers!
Warm blanket & slippers
Paul had desperately wanted to try Tree Ninja for ages, which is basically a high ropes course through trees near where we live. He booked it in for Tuesday and on Monday night I was warning him that we weren’t going if it was still as windy and rainy as it was that night. Unfortunately for me, the weather cleared up a bit and he made me go. It’s not that I didn’t want to go….I did want to try it…just not when it was windy & rainy! Anyway, I went and it was fun although I scraped my ankle on one of the wires and almost fell off a platform 10m high (yes okay, I was strapped onto the wire but it was still scary AF) and now have a huge bruise on my knee but what really made me happy was coming home and snuggling up on the sofa in my slippers under a blanket. Ahhhhh, bliss!
Chicken nuggets & ice cream
Bit of an odd combination but I woke up on Thursday feeling a little run down and when Paul asked what I fancied for dinner I whined..chicken nuggets…like a 5 year old. When I got home Paul had been to Maccy D’z & picked me up a chicken nugget meal then surprised me with a McFlurry after…he’s a goodun’!
I love having flowers at home on my coffee table. I don’t like to spend a lot so I just tend to buy some gypsophila and then some sort of flower as gyp is one of my favourites (you’ll probably know this if you’ve seen my Green Wedding board on Pinterest – no I’m not engaged, I just like weddings!) This week in the house we have some dark pink carnations with gyp.
What’s made you happy this week?
