I saw the new Zoya polishes from their Spring Summer collection a couple of months back and whilst I was browsing I couldn’t resist picking up a polish; Tove.
Tove is from the Natural Satins 2015 collection and is described as a misty slate grey with a satin finish.
“A hybrid between matte and glossy polishes, the new Zoya Satin formula provides opaque coverage and is longer lasting than traditional matte shades.”
It isn’t the greatest Zoya formula that I’ve tried. It’s quite gloopy and sticky so you have to have enough on your brush so that it glides on but not too much otherwise it goes on quite uneven and takes ages to dry.
I do like the finish though, it is definitely a mix between glossy and matte and looks really nice. However, the formula just isn’t for me. I find painting my nails quite a chore anyway because I have to sit for ages afterwards for them to dry but this takes soooo long to dry.
Zoya is a “free from” brand meaning they don’t include formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor in their formulas.
You can get them from Nail Polish Direct which is the cheapest I’ve found them at £8.95 each.
