Antipodes Mineral Foundation | Beauty Review

A while ago I was offered the chance to review a product from Antipodes. I was quite stocked up on skincare at the time so I chose their Mineral Foundation* as I normally wear liquid but thought I’d see what all the fuss was about with mineral foundations.
This foundation is the Performance Plus Mineral Foundation with SPF 17, Vinanza Grape and Kiwi. It is fragrance free and I have the shade Pale Pink 01 which is pretty darn perfect for my skin tone.

At first I was a little apprehensive as I have only really used liquid foundations and I was worried that powders would look cakey on my skin. However, I had no need to worry as this powder foundation evens out my skin tone and gives me a lovely glow. I do have to be careful not to use too much and rub it in a little after using the powder brush in certain areas on my skin that are a little dry like my cheeks and forehead but once it’s all sunk in, my skin has a lovely dewy finish.
The packaging is a plastic pot with a sifter so your foundation won’t get everywhere. This is a big plus for me as loose powders aren’t my favourite as they can get so messy! I was sent their Powder Foundation Kabuki Brush as well but I have to say it isn’t the softest and can feel a teeny bit scratchy on my skin so I prefer using one I got from the Naturisimo Make-Up Discovery Box from Bellapierre.

On the whole, I’m really impressed with this foundation and goes to show that I was wrong all along about mineral powders! I love to use this over my Josh Rosebrook SPF Day Cream and my skin is left even, with a lovely glow.

It retails for £27.99 which is fairly expensive for mineral foundation however it is still cheaper than other liquid one’s I have tried so that’s not an issue, and for me it’s totally worth it.

Have you tried Antipodes make-up before? What’s your favourite?
