Yesterday was one of the most exciting days I’ve been waiting for the whole year – the Gorgeously Green Gathering! Rachel (All Natural Aspirations), Sarah (Sugarpuffish) and Jen (Jen’s Green Skincare) have been planning this event since November last year so it’s been a long time in the making.
I stopped over in the hotel in Swindon on the Saturday night and shared a room with one of my best blogging buddies Sarah. We went out for dinner the night before with Rachel, Jen, Malin, Elijah (Bodhi & Birch), and Rachael from Myroo Skincare to Wagamama’s which was so much fun but the main part of the weekend was the amazing event itself.
The event consisted of talks from five different brands; Myroo, Bodhi & Birch, The Rose Tree, Weleda and Botanical Brands along with chatting time in between and networking at the end so we had a chance to play with the brands products.
I had the best day, catching up with my friends, meeting new bloggers and brand owners and hearing all about their products. We also received a very generous goody bag, filled with beautiful products from the brands who came to talk to us.
Two brands, Myroo & The Rose Tree are new to me, so it was a pleasure to hear all about how they started, the ingredients they use and their products. Elijah from Bodhi & Birch was inspiring as always and it was interesting to hear more about Weleda’s history.
I had my make-up done by Ailish (The Glow Getter) using Living Nature products and a Lippy Girl lipstick (brands from Botanical Brands). I thought I’d let you all know everything that Ailish used on me in case any of you missed it on the day; Living Nature Foundation in Pure Sand, Living Nature Concealer in Light, Living Nature Illuminating Foundatin in Dawn (as highlight), Living Nature Eyeshadow in Sand (highlight), Living Nature Powder Bronzer (contour), Living Nature Eyeshadow in Shell (lid colour), Living Nature Midnight Eyeliner Pencil (smudge eyelid corners), Living Nature Mascara, Lippy Girl Fancy Pants Lipstick and then Living Nature Laughter Lipliner as alternative. Ailish also used some of the amazing vegan brushes from Bathing Beauty, of which I will be reviewing soon, so keep an eye out!
In the goody bag we received a travel bag full of the beautiful products from Bodhi & Birch, some Weleda samples, a couple of full sized Living Nature products and a Lippy Girl lipstick (I got Ski Bunny which I already have so Tamara kindly swapped with me for Hot Diggity Yam as she already had that one!), a full-sized serum from Myroo and a sample of the Carrot Balm Cleanser from The Rose Tree. I was also kindly given the eyeliner & lipliner from the makeover as Ailish used them directly on me.
I did film some segments of the day which I am hoping will look okay and I can upload into a video however the lighting wasn’t great in the room!
I just wanted to finish off by saying a huge thank you to Rachel, Sarah and Jen for organising the event and the brand owners for coming and for contributing to the goody bags!
