Last Saturday I headed down to London to the Covent Garden Hotel after being invited by Antipodes for Afternoon Tea. I was so excited as no other green bloggers have been before and it was such a lovely afternoon.
The event was hosted by Deborah, Antipodes’ Global Brand Trainer as well as the lovely Sophie who handles their PR. I arrived just before 2pm after walking up and down the street a few times in the rain, getting soaked as I didn’t bring a coat nor an umbrella (good one Amber!) and sat myself at the table with a few other bloggers and Deborah. The event was more casual than I expected and I spent ages just chatting with Deb, Sophie and the other girls about the brand, everyone’s favourite products and which one’s we should be trying.
Deb & I also had a little rummage through my make-up bag as she only uses natural make-up like myself, so we had a great chat about our favourite natural brands (RMS and Ilia were both top for us!)
I have been using the Antipodes Mineral Foundation for quite a few months now and I really like it. It’s the first mineral foundation I’ve tried, however it gives a lovely coverage and a dewy finish. I’ve also been trying out the Ananda Gentle Toner which is great for sensitive skin, however I find it helps to reduce redness and blemishes in just a few days which is perfect when I have any hormonal breakouts.
The actual Afternoon tea itself was absolutely delish. Sophie & I shared a Traditional Afternoon Tea which came on a gorgeous pink glass cake stand, filled with warm scones with jam and clotted cream, sandwiches and cakes galore.
I really enjoyed my afternoon meeting everyone and I’d like to thank Sophie and Deborah for the invitation and the goody bag. We received a few of Antipodes best-sellers including the Skin Saviour Balm, Aura Manuka Honey Mask and Kiwi Seed Eye Cream.
