On Sunday I made my third trip down to London in November for the Glow Getter Gathering, organised by Ailish of The Glow Getter. I was so excited about the event and couldn’t wait to see my blogging friends, meet brand owners and discover new brands.
The event was hosted at Kettner’s in Soho which is an absolutely gorgeous venue. Ailish did a beautiful job of decorating, with candles and pretty pink and white roses spread around the room. There were 10 brands in total including a few I haven’t tried before such as Aurelia Skincare, Blend & Press and the recently re-branded Angela Langford.
I am yet to try anything from Aurelia Skincare however I absolutely adore their packaging and it was lovely to try some of their products hands on. I tried their Exfoliator which has a gel texture, with rice bran for gentle exfoliation and when water is added, it turns milky. My hands were so so soft afterwards!
I apologise for the bad quality photo – the lighting in the room wasn’t great and I have my sister’s camera at the minute and no idea how to use it…anyhoo. Angela Langford was one of the first few brands I featured on my blog and she has since rebranded and it looks amazing. Angela focuses on giving customers exactly what will be right for their skin, so she offers a free sample service and also includes samples in orders so that customers can try the product before opening a full-size and potentially being disappointed if it doesn’t work for them. I think this is incredible customer service and if you’d like to try her skincare, pop on over and get a sample pack.
Another brand I am yet to try is Blend & Press. They have a store in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden where they sell their raw juices and drinks. I tried their No4 Radiant Smoothie, which is full of berries so it’s high in antioxidants and protects skin from free radicals and help support youthful skin. I would love to do a juice cleanse so I’ll be keeping these in mind if I decide to take the plunge!
Chuckling Goat are a brand I’ve tried before and my review is actually one of my most popular overall which is interesting! They use raw goats milk and kefir in their products and have re-packaged since I reviewed them. I didn’t get a chance to talk to the girl on their stand but they had a lovely video rolling of all the goats on the farm which was lovely to watch!
There’s a bit of a trend coming along in this post by now…MOA are a small, apothecary brand who have their Green Balm which is their signature products and they have since added two more products (a Bath Potion and Facial Oil) and also have repackaged with these gorgeous green bottles and jars and brown cardboard boxes. We received a Bath Potion in our goody bag and although I don’t really like baths, this smells so lovely so it may tempt me to actually have one…
Neal’s Yard Remedies were also at the event and they had products on display as well as their Superfood Blends with treats to try. I tried one of their raw chocolates at the end of the event and although I don’t like coconut oil, they were quite tasty actually! In the goody bag we received a pack of their Berry Superfood Complex so I’m looking forward to using that in smoothies and I might bake up some treats too.
Herbfarmacy also had a stand but unfortunately they were ill and unable to attend which was a shame as I really like their products. Antipodes and Jason were also there but I forgot to take photos of those stands. Jason products aren’t quite up to my green standards however if you want to read more about Antipodes, I went to Afternoon Tea a few week’s ago with them.
I’d like to say thank you to Ailish for organising the event and for all of the brownies (yum!) and also to the brands for the treats in our goody bags. It was such a lovely event and wonderful to catch up with my blogging friends and also meet a few girls I’d not met before!
What is your favourite brand out of these?
