This morning I made my way down to London to visit the Natural & Organic Products Show. I went last year with Sarah & Ailish but this year I fancied a day off work so I went on a weekday, ha ha! I arrived right on time at 9:30am to get to see as many brands as I could.
I love going to shows and events like this as it’s fun to meet brand owners and see what new brands are popping up. At this show they have a variety of products from spa & beauty to natural health and food. Of course I am mostly compelled to visit the beauty section!
I started off by popping by to see Tanya at Therapi Honey Skincare, followed by Nathalie & Liz at Petits Rituels and Juliana from JR Naturorganics. Most of the brands I saw today were one’s I am already familiar with and I have to say, there weren’t many others that caught my eye. I think because there are so many great green brands around now, it’s hard for new brands to come along and do something different or unique.
I popped by Faith in Nature’s stand as they are launching a new line called Brave Botanicals with four shampoos and conditioners for a specific hair style in mind such as “smooth shine” or “bounce and body”. I’ve got the Bounce & Body one to try so I’ll keep you all posted on how I get on with that! They’ll be launching Summer time.
A new brand to me was Soley Organics which is an Icelandic brand who use herbs and ingredients such as yarrow, sea buckthorn and birch which are all known to be wonderful ingredients for the skin. I have the Birta Lift & Glow serum that I’m looking forward to trying.
I headed over to see Tabitha Kraan’s stand and found out they had just won an award for Best Natural Product in the show’s awards for the Dry Shampoo which is a great product! They’ve repackaged it into a very clever spray bottle which I managed to get my hands on! I can’t wait to try this as it seems like a much more fool-proof way to apply as I sometimes tip out way too much in the current packaging.
I also had a quick catch up with Nic from Black Book Communications to talk about the new Herbfarmacy re-launch that she’s been working so hard on. I wasn’t able to make it to the press day last week so it was lovely to see the products in person…photos/post to come soon!
I met Emily from Naturisimo which was so lovely as we’ve been emailing for ages about their discovery boxes and new brands to the site so it’s lovely to finally meet. And I also met Sadie from Vedani Botanicals and Margaret, who helps formulate all of Vedani’s beautiful blends which was so great because I’ve been working with Sadie on her social media so it’s great to meet in person!
It was a lovely day out (albeit very tiring) and it was lovely to pop by and see my favourite brands and meet a couple of new ones!
Which brand/product would you like me to write about first?
