Summer Holiday Essentials

Today I am bringing you a post all about my top holiday essentials, in collaboration with my good friend Sarah from Sugarpuffish. I’m heading to Corfu on 3 June for a week and Sarah is going abroad for her sister’s wedding this Summer so we thought it would be good to share our holiday essentials.

The first and most important product for holiday is suncream and I’ll be taking the Green People SPF 30 with me. It’s scent free so ideal for sensitive skin or those who get prickly heat often and it offers UVA and UVB protection. I’ll also be packing the Green People Soft Lips Lip Balm which has SPF8 to protect my lips whilst sunbathing.

A couple of balms that I’ll be taking with me from WiDEYE are the Sun & Wind Repair and the Barefoot Rescue. I always get dry feet when on holiday from wearing flip flops and sandals all day long so I’ll be applying this in the evenings along with the repair balm on any patches that I might have caught the sun on!

Kure Bazaar have launched a new range for Summer and I’m absolutely loving the shades. I have Pistache which is a unusual yellow/green shade and Jade which is a gorgeous turquoise-blue green shade. I’ll be taking both of these on holiday with me.

Petits Rituels are one of my favourite natural candle brands and just in time for my holiday, they’ve launched a range of Travel Candles. I’ll be taking Minty Bonbon with me to make the hotel room smell amazing! This is such a beautiful scent, so uplifting and refreshing.

I’ve really loved People Tree’s Spring/Summer collection and a favourite of mine is the Aspen Dress which has a gorgeous blue floral print on it. I also picked up a white & blue striped 3/4 top from People Tree on Amazon which is the perfect nautical outfit! Keep an eye out for some photos on my Instagram of me wearing them on holiday!

An easy skincare routine is essential when I’m holiday as I can’t really be bothered to do an extensive regime at night. I’m taking the Mallow & White Blossom Balm and a travel size Therapi Honey Skincare Lemon Toner which will also come in handy for refreshing my skin on the plane. A new product I’ll be packing is Cacay Oil from Ooh! Oils of Heaven which you can get on Love Lula. Apparently this is the new “rave” oil! I’ll also pack the Mahalo Rare Indigo Balm in case I catch a little too much sun or get any pesky spots!

I’ll be packing one of the newest products to my green beauty stash which is the Bodhi & Birch Botanic Dew Hand & Body Wash. This smells so gorgeous, the peppermint really comes through and it’s refreshing so perfect for a warm holiday.

I also love a body oil on holiday…I was sent this MyCoco one a little while ago and never got round to using it, purely because it’s mainly coconut oil and I can’t be bothered to wait for it to melt! Another essential is a good natural deodorant and I’m packing the Schmidt’s stick deodorant in Lavender & Sage.

Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream (or the little that I have left!) will be making its way into my make-up bag as this will be perfect for applying in the morning to give my skin a little glow, whilst offering sun protection at the same time. A couple of other make-up products that I think are essential for a sunny holiday is a highlighter and lip gloss. I hate applying loads of make-up when it’s too hot so these three products will be enough for me. I’m taking the Ilia Butterfly & I which is a beautiful peach shade and the Ere Perez Highlighter. I’ll probably take a few extra little bits for dinner in the evening but not much more!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Head over to Sarah’s blog to read all about her Summer Holiday Essentials too.
