Now that we’re into Spring (yay!), I’ve been reaching for lighter pinks and corals for lipsticks. I have a couple of old-time favourites and some new ones in my collection.
Green People have recently launched their new Damask Rose lipstick and it’s such a gorgeous shade. It is completely matte (you can pop their lip primer balm on underneath for a bit of sheen) but it isn’t drying on the lips at all.
Ilia have a gorgeous range in various shades so you can’t really go wrong with their lipsticks and conditioners. I’ve recently been using their lip conditioner in Blossom Lady which is fairly sheer but can be built up for a more pigmented shade. It’s a gorgeous pink that would suit pretty much everyone and can be quickly applied before heading out the door!
Karen’s Murrells lipstick’s are ones that I’ve been meaning to try more of but the one shade I do have is Carnation Mist. It’s a gorgeous pink that’s super pigmented & creamy and is so pretty for Spring/Summer. This is probably the most noticeable shade out of all my picks but it’s so, so pretty and I’m almost at the end of the tube!
Another one from ILIA is one of their lipsticks in a coral shade – Funnel of Love. This is gorgeous, and I especially love corals as they seem to suit my skin tone more often than pinks. This is matte and can be a little drying so I make sure to apply lots of balm before but it’s a lovely nude-coral colour.
And last we have the Lip Sheer from Beauty Counter in the shade Petal which came in a Beauty Heroes box last year. This one is the easiest to apply as it’s fairly sheer and more balm-y than the rest. It’s a lovely pink and the packaging is the most stunning lipstick that I think exists in the green beauty world!
