I’ve been reaching for more body products now that the weather is warming up, as I’m wearing dresses and shorter sleeves. I’m pretty lazy when it comes to body products most of the time, especially in Winter but now the weather’s a bit nicer, I make sure I use products to keep my skin moisturised and tanned.
One thing I do use all the time, obviously, is body wash. I’ve recently been introduced to products from Tropic Skincare which is a brand I’ve known for years but never got round to trying. They’ve added some new products to their range for Spring including a few body washes. I’ve been using the Wild Mint, Lime and Pineapple scent which smells absolutely amazing! It’s perfect for Spring/Summer and would be ideal for a hot Summer holiday. It’s really creamy and foams nicely.
Once a week I’ll use a body scrub in the shower to keep my skin free from dry-flaky bits. I’ve been using quite a few different ones but for a “Spring” feel, I’ve been reaching for Tose Apothecary French Clay Scrub. It’s scented with lemongrass which is one of my favourite scents and works well to gently scrub away dry skin. It isn’t the most harsh scrub I’ve used, but I like that it’s gentle but leaves me with soft skin. It’s also great when I have fake tan on as it exfoliates without taking all my tan off.
I recently discovered The Handmade Soap Company through Love Lula and I’ve fallen in love with the scent of the Lemongrass & Bergamot Body Butter. It’s so refreshing and uplifting and perfect for Spring It’s a solid balm in the jar but once you apply to your skin it melts down into a thick oily butter.
I’m a huge fan of Indie Lee. I love all of the products I’ve tried from her range and a firm favourite of mine is the Squalane Oil but for Spring & Summer I absolutely love using the Vanilla Citrus Body Oil. It’s a simple blend of jojoba oil, apricot oil, vanilla and sweet orange oil but it’s just gorgeous and leaves my skinsoft and smelling amazing.
I’ve not been on holiday since last June and with the wedding coming, I doubt I’ll be going anywhere sunny this year either so I’m turning to natural fake tan for glowy skin. Trying on wedding dresses isn’t that fun when you’re super, super pale haha! I’ve been a fan of Green People Self-Tan for a little while now. It offers a nice natural tan, without being obvious you’ve used fake tan and it doesn’t have that much of a bad tan scent either once it’s washed off. I’ll be sharing my full natural fake-tan routine on the blog soon!
