Body scrubs are one of my favourite body products. To be honest I’m quite lazy when it comes to applying lotions and oils to my body so scrubs are a great way to buff away dry skin whilst moisturising at the same time. Natural body scrubs are full of oils and butters so it’s like a 2-in-1; buff away dry skin and moisturise…my ideal product!
Barefaced + Bee Sugar Scrub
Ah this scrub just smells absolutely divine. It’s like toffee in a tub and it’s incredible. It’s rough enough to get rid of dry skin but it doesn’t irritate my skin and leaves it silky smooth thanks to the babassu oil, macadamia oil and honey. Definitely one of my favourites. It comes in a sleek glass black jar (like the Bodhi & Birch Rosemary Chi Scrub) and definitely has a high-end feel to it.
Isla Apothecary Blood Orange & Vanilla Scrub
This smells amazing too. It has orange and vanilla oils so it smells just like chocolate orange and makes me seriously hungry whilst in the shower. It’s rough enough to offer a decent scrub but it’s not harsh on the skin. In fact this one and Barefaced + Bee are pretty similar in terms of smelling amazing and the texture of the scrub. I love both.
Bloom Remedies Deep Release Scrub
I’ve already gone through one of these scrubs and really enjoy using it, especially after a workout. It’s firm in the tub and is full of nourishing butters but it also works well to gently scrub away dry skin. This is probably one of the least harsh scrubs out of my collection so if you have sensitive skin, try one from Bloom Remedies.
Soapnut Apothecary Cardamom & Lavender Scrub
This is the softest scrub out of my collection so I like using this when I’ve put fake tan on as it gently exfoliates to avoid patchy tan lines but it’s not harsh enough to scrub all the colour away. I do like scrubby scrubs so I probably wouldn’t buy this one again but it was a nice one to try.
The Salt Parlour Jasmine & Matcha Green Tea Scrub
I got this inside the Natural Beauty Box February subscription box and it’s the most amazing shade of green, thanks to the matcha inside. This one looks sort of like bath salts in the jar, rather than a compact scrub like the others, however it’s still a great scrub and it’s moisturising too.
A couple of others I’ve tried over the last few years that I particularly like also are Indie Lee Citrus Body Scrub and the Bodhi & Birch Rosemary Chi Scrub. I’ve also been using the Tose Apothecary Lemongrass Scrub which I featured in my Natural Body Products for Spring post.
