There’s nothing more cosy in the Autumn than snuggling up on the sofa with a blanket & a hot chocolate watching a film with an autumnal candle lit. I’ve got quite the collection going at the minute so I’m going to share my thoughts on some natural autumn candles.
(From left to right)
John Masters Organic Blood Orange & Vanilla
John Masters use soy wax and organic essential oils of blood orange and grapefruit in this candle. I absolutely love their blood orange & vanilla body lotion and expected this candle to smell the same but this has grapefruit in it which makes it smell a little off to me. It burns nicely and scent throw is good but unfortunately I just don’t like the scent.
Joik Hot Chocolate
Joik use soy wax and fragrance oils for their candles which I personally don’t tend to use that often, but sometimes I don’t mind, especially when the scent is “hot chocolate”! This candle does smell amazing and very chocolate-y. It burned very evenly but I did find that when I blew it out, left the room and entered it again the scent was quite strong and was a little overwhelming. If you don’t mind fragrance oils, then definitely a brand to take a look at.
Petits Rituels Orange Gourmande
One of my absolute favourite candle brands – the jar is so luxurious and founder Nathalie always creates the most beautiful scents. Her large candles now feature two wicks to ensure a completely even burn and the new scent of Orange Gourmande is just lovely. It’s autumnal but still quite zesty and refreshing.
PHB Ethical Cinnamon & Clove
PHB’s candles are made with natural soy wax and pure essential oils. They’re hand-poured into glass jars and come in a variety of scents. This one smells lovely and festive and burned evenly as the jar’s fairly small.
Beefayre Spiced Orange
Beefayre released their new kitchen jar style candles last year and I just love the style. They are made with natural plant wax and the festive range is made with essential oils. Spiced Orange features orange, clove and cinnamon and is a lovely autumnal & festive scent.
