I got a couple of green beauty bits for Christmas and I was also gifted a few things so I thought I’d share what’s new in my first 2018 post!
In early December I went for lunch with a few amazing blogging ladies at Ping Pong in Covent Garden. We had a lovely time and it was organised by Sara Steele who kindly bought us a product each from the owner of Bare Origin. I got the Rosehip Oil and I’ve been using it for the last few days – it’s lovely, rich in colour and I’ll definitely be checking out their other products.
I recently won an Instagram competition by the English Mineral Makeup Company for one of their bronzers. They kindly sent me a kabuki brush too which is made with amazing bright pink bristles! I haven’t tried it yet but will definitely be giving it a go soon.
Before the blogging lunch, I had a wedding/bridal makeup trial with Lilian (Green Beauty MUA). We decided on the makeup I’m probably going to be using on my wedding day and so I asked for a couple of products for Christmas from Paul’s parents! The first is the Zao Liquid Liner and I’ve been loving it. The brush is perfect and makes it super easy to get a fine, straight line and it’s really long-lasting too.
Lilian also used a few of the shadows from the Lily Lolo Laid Bare Palette. I haven’t used LL for quite a while as they use carmine in some of their products which I avoid, but I needed a new eyeshadow palette anyway and the colours were really pretty. I’m looking forward to practicing my wedding day makeup with this! I’m going to be sharing a makeup trial post soon if anyone is interested in my bridal/wedding day makeup.
And last but not least, I received a lovely present from the ladies at Supernatural Cosmetics before Christmas with a Sister & Co Scrub & Lip Balm. I love a good body scrub and can’t wait to give this one a go!
