I’ve bought a few home & eco products online and in shops over the last month so I thought I’d do a haul to show you what I bought.
I want to try and switch as many things over to sustainable, reusable options so I did a little haul on Tabitha Eve of some reusable beauty & home products. I’ve dabbled in a few bits but I’ve either run out and not got round to repurchasing or what I was using just wasn’t quite right.
I picked up None Sponges in Natural which comes as a pack of 2 and can be used in the kitchen for washing up and cleaning worktops. I also got a Bath None Sponge in Forest which is a lovely leafy design to use in the shower. I had a couple of re-usable kitchen sponges before but Paul chucked them away as he didn’t realise you could wash them and use again so I’ll be keeping an eye on these ones this time!
Beauty wise I bought a pack of Organic Makeup Rounds with a storage bag for washing and storing which can be used to remove eye makeup or apply toner, a pack of 3 Makeup Pads which are larger for removing makeup and a pack of Nail Polish Remover Wipes which isn’t something I’ve ever seen before. They’re rougher in texture than the makeup pads and are a great way of removing nail polish without wasting loads of cotton pads.
I had some eye makeup pads a few years back but they were quite bulky and difficult to use so I’m looking forward to trying these out as they’re a lot thinner and softer.
I bought a couple of bits from Honest Abode which is an online home accessories, gift and stationery store stocking cruelty-free and eco products.
I needed a new dish brush for the kitchen as the head on ours came loose so I bought the Bamboo Dish Brush with a replaceable head which I think is a great idea to cut down on waste as you can simply buy a new brush head when yours starts to get a bit worse for wear instead of buying a whole new brush.
I also bought a new diary for 2020 as I’d seen the design on Instagram and loved the look of it – 2020 Oxbridge Squiggle Diary by Katie Leamon. It’s a softer outside than I’d normally go for but that means it’ll be easier to recycle than the bulky ones I usually get – I might buy myself a journal to hold it in as I know it’ll probably get a bit damaged in my huge handbag full of other stuff.
I came across Mouse Homeware at the Fabulous Places event in Derby last year and I’ve placed a couple of orders through them now. They’re based not too far from me and have a lovely range of home products.
I saw they were having a sale on Instagram so I bought a Black & White Stripe Throw and a Small Hanging Basket for my Summer House to hang on the shelf which was from Goodwood Originals on Etsy in the shade Eau de Nil. I will share some more photos of my Summer house soon but some pictures are on my Instagram (@thisnaturalbee).
I love Autumn and especially the scent of Autumnal candles. So when I saw this huge three wick Sand + Fog candle in Homesense I couldn’t leave it on the shelf. It’s from their Natural Home collection, is made with coconut wax and essential oils and it smells incredible and I haven’t even lit it yet! The perfect scent for Autumn.
